Nadicksbernd Field

Nadicksbernd Field was built in the summer of 1968. The CBU baseball team originally played across the street at Tobey Park. The first-ever home run hit at the field was hit by Joe Nadicksbernd, one of the charter members of the CBU Athletic Hall of Fame. The field was named after him in the fall of 2013 in honor of his lifetime of service to CBU and especially its baseball program.

Buc Field's dimensions are 335 feet down the left field line, 385 feet to left-center, 370 feet to center, with a 17-foot fence, 360 feet to right-center, and 350 feet down the right field line.

Thanks to generous contributions, both in money and in service, a two-tier pressbox was errected directly behind home plate. The lower level houses a concession stand, with the upper level housing a press box for radio and sports information staff. The press box is equipped with three phone lines.

A new state-of-the-art LED scoreboard was installed in the fall of 2003.

To visit Buc Field, we suggest street parking either along Oakdale or Finlay Street or parking in the Central Lot (use 2440 Central Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104 for your GPS).
